I took a walk this afternoon. It was about 35* and snow on the ground. It wasn't super long but enough to get outside, increase the HR, get a little energized, lighten my mood. It was exactly what I wanted and needed.
As I was walking home I realized that my teenage self would not recognize that the crazy person walking in the cold just for fun was actually 33 year old Amanda.
It's a foreign feeling... Feeling GOOD, HAPPY, POSITIVE. It's foreign to not have to walk on eggshells 24/7 or wonder what you're coming home to.
I never thought I'd get to a point in my life like t o d a y.
If you're going through some hard shit right now... aside from the pandemic... I want you to know that you can do hard things.
You probably don't believe me. (I wouldn't have.)
You're likely pissed off and ready to click off this post and that's ok.
Just know that holding on is the answer. Asking for help is ok. You can live a good, happy and positive life, too.
xo
